About
Mika'ele currently lives in St. Paul MN, and is the principal piano technician for the Minnesota Orchestra. Before moving to the North Star State, Mika'ele worked full-time as a piano technician in Los Angeles for The Colburn School of Performing Arts, and the Steinway & Sons Concert and Artist Division. He has provided service for 21st Century Fox Studios, the LA Philharmonic, The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and the America Contemporary Ballet.
Mika'ele has spent six summer seasons at the Aspen Music Festival and School, and has also provided service for the Sarasota Music Festival, Santa Barbara's Music Academy of the West, and the Sierra Summer Festival in California.
A graduate North Bennet St. School's piano technology program, he is a certified Registered Piano Technician. His specialty is servicing Steinway & Sons instruments with inclusive post-factory preparation, and working with Steinway artists in recording studios and on the concert stage.
Registered Piano Technician (RPT)
A Registered Piano Technician has successfully passed a rigorous technical examination used to certify piano technicians. The credential shows that the technician is a professional who can tune, service, and repair the instrument to a nationally recognized set of standards.
