About
A second generation piano technician/tuner, Mika'ele currently lives in St. Paul MN, working for the Minnesota Orchestra, the MacPhail Center for Music, as well as providing regional institutional services. Mika'ele has worked full-time as a piano technician in Los Angeles, providing regular service as a concert technician for the Steinway & Sons Concert and Artist Division, The Colburn School of Performing Arts, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, 21st Century Fox Studios, The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, American Contemporary Ballet, Center Staging LLC, and also, for his own private clientele.
During the summer seasons, Mika'ele has worked with the Aspen Music Festival and School, Sarasota Music Festival, Music Academy of the West, the Sierra Summer Festival.
Mika'ele is active member of the Piano Technicians Guild, and certified Registered Piano Technician. His specialty is servicing Steinway & Sons instruments with inclusive post-factory preparation for institutions, and piano dealers such as Steinway & Sons Los Angeles, and Schmitt Music Company in Minneapolis.
Registered Piano Technician (RPT)
A Registered Piano Technician has successfully passed a rigorous technical examination used to certify piano technicians. The credential shows that the technician is truly a professional who can tune, service, and repair the instrument to a nationally recognized set of standards.
